  2. Establish Candidacy
    Come in for your free, no-obligation LASIK screening to determine your candidacy for LASIK. Your appointment will last about an hour and is not a sales pitch. It's sole purpose is to determine whether you are a candidate for LASIK.
    The LASIK screening procedure includes a complete eye exam, mapping of the corneas, explanation of benefits and risks, and answers to all your questions.

  3. Pre-LASIK Eye Exam
    Your comprehensive LASIK eye examination will be conducted to detect possible underlying medical conditions that allows Dr. Cutarelli to develop a precise profile of your eye measurements.
  4. Schedule LASIK
    This appointment will be scheduled at the time of your comprehensive eye exam.
  5. Preparation for LASIK
    Prior to your LASIK procedure, you will be given a full list of instructions. LASIK laser vision correction is an ambulatory procedure, which means that you walk into the surgery facility, have your LASIK procedure and then walk out again. You will need to have someone drive you home.
  6. LASIK Procedure
    Your actual LASIK procedure will take only a few minutes per eye. However, iincluding the essential preparation and recovery time, plan on being available for a couple of hours.
  7. After LASIK
    Once your procedure is complete, a complete instruction packet will be provided for you. Eye drops will be placed in your eyes, and medication may be given to use over the next few days. You will then rest at home.
    The following day, you will have a follow-up appointment. Your eyes will be examined and any questions you may have will be answered. Your vision may change slightly over the next few months, and appointments will be scheduled at specific intervals to keep track of your progress.
  8. Enhancements
    Most often, we experience an outstanding success rate with our patients after only one LASIK treatment. Occasionally, due to an individual's prescription level and unique physiology, additional treatment called "enhancement" may be required.
